Gong Xiangnan, honored with title of 1st International Recording Artist by Arts Council San Jose
News As the center of American culture, arts, science and politics, Silicon Valley effectively builds the eco-
zone of creative industry and implements national arts and cultural policies in recent years. In early 2017,
Arts Council San Jose, by deeply involving itself in international arts and culture communications, set an
international video recording award to honor those artists who contributes greatly to global arts
communications, to highlight their excellent achievement and international influence. Mr. Gong Xiangnan,
Director of Shandong Radio and Television Recording Department, as an outstanding recording artist in
China, he is also serving as the Deputy Director of U.S. DD Beacon Artists Association Film Sound and
Optical Division, Vice President of distinguished judges of International Micro Film Arts Festival, and
Senior International Consultant of DD Beacon Music Study Academy audio database. He was the general
recording director of 2016 International DD Beacon New Composer Recording Series, and Sound Director
of 2017 Silicon Valley Chinese New Year Gala. Given Mr. Gong’s great contribution to the filed of video
recording, Arts Council San Jose decided to honor him with the title of Global 100 Talents DD Beacon
Video Recording Artist. He is the first international artist honored by this title by American government.
