GUANGJUN SHI, Associate Professor,vocal educator, baritone, who works at the Music College of Capital Normal University in China as a deputy director of the vocal department. He was also employed in Beijing Contemporary Music Institute as Distinguished Professor. He is the member of Beijing Musicians Association; the member of US Beacon Artist Association and the vice chairman of International Music and Dance Exchange Promotion Association.
Professor Shi graduated from China Conservatory in 1998,and received a master's degree in vocal music from Russian Academy of Music named Gnessin in 2008.
As a singer, Professor Shi has starred in the opera "La Traviata" (Giorgio Germont),the opera "Aleko" (Aleko),the opera “Le Nozze di Figaro” (Figaro).He has won the first prize of Male group in the "Krasnadal" International Young Singers Vocal Competition in 2009 and the second prize in the "Maxim Mikhailov" International Vocal Competition in 2010. As an opera director, He has successfully directed the opera "Aleko" "La Boheme" and "La Traviata".
As a vocal educator , Professor Shi has written a large number of papers and monographs. Many of his students have the awards in a lot of domestic and international competitions.
